"Made a Her Day Too tribute video for my mom, timed to my birthday this year. Took about 30 minutes — mostly going thru old photos and picking the moments that mattered. Uploading photos and making Mom focus took just a few minutes. The song was perfect. When I showed her, halfway through, she realized: this wasn’t another gift to me. It was for her. She cried. I cried. Best 30 minutes I’ve spent in years. We celebrate our birthdays every year and forget whose day it actually started as. If you want to really tell your mom that — do this. "

"A few days before my birthday, I uploaded 32 photos and picked a song — the whole process was smooth and easy. On my actual birthday, I sent the finished video to my mom, who was 1,000 miles away on vacation. A little while later, I got a message from my dad.
